Question

A quick Google search for premature ejaculation treatments showed a ton of different sprays that claim to help with premature ejaculation. I don't quite understand how they work or if they're effective.

There are also a ton of different ones that seem to be a scam (eg; Stud 5000, Do Me Long and Hard, etc.).

Do premature ejaculation sprays work, and if so, would you recommend giving one a try?

Premature ejaculation (PE) sprays, like Promescent, are an effective way to help men last longer in bed.

These sprays tend to contain desensitizing agents like lidocaine or benzocaine, which are two commonly used ingredients.

When deciding on a PE spray it's best to look for a reputable brand, clinical research, and where the product is made for quality assurance.

Clinical Research on PE Sprays

In a study published by the International Journal of Impotence Research, 91 men were given Promescent lidocaine-based desensitizing spray to use before a sexual experience.

The average ejaculation time was 6.81 minutes without using the product and 11.16 minutes while using the spray.

As an adage, both partners experienced orgasm at a higher rate with the use of a lidocaine spray (65.6 percent of the time) than they did without (44.1 percent of the time).

Premature Ejaculation Spray Advantages

Most men find there are significant advantages to using a spray over other treatment options.

Some up-sides include:

  • They are easy to apply
  • They work almost immediately
  • They have a low, near zero, side effect profile in comparison to other options
  • Choosing a premature ejaculation spray like Promescent means little to no transfer to your partner
  • They are adjustable in dose, so that you can find out what works best for your personal needs
  • They are discreet to use and carry

How to Use

Premature ejaculation spray should be applied to the most sensitive parts of the penis about 10 minutes before intercourse.

The most sensitive areas include the underside of the head or glans and the frenulum (just under the head of the penis).

As the liquid absorbs into the skin, sensitivity levels wane, which can help you last longer.

Takeaways

For men who struggle with premature ejaculation, making it possible for their partner to have an orgasm can be a struggle.

They often climax before their partner, which means their partner may not reach orgasm.

Luckily, PE sprays are well researched, can be bought over-the-counter in most countries, and are affordable.

You can see near instant results with these products, unlike some other exercises or prescription medications.
