Ronald Gilbert M.D. F.A.C.S., Founder and Chief Medical Officer
Ronald Gilbert M.D. F.A.C.S. earned his degree in Biology in 1983, graduating from University of California Santa Barbara with highest honors. Over the next 10 years, Ron completed his education at the University of California – Irvine, where he graduated from medical school in 1987 and completed his urological residency in 1993. While working for the past 18 years at Orange Coast Urology in Newport Beach, CA, Ron has served as the chief of the Department of Urology at Hoag Hospital and as an assistant clinical professor of urology at UCI Medical School. He has worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a lecturer and consultant for TAP Pharmaceuticals, Eli Lilly and Pfizer, educating urologists and primary care physicians about prostate cancer, interstitial cystitis and sexual dysfunction. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as a member of the American Urological Association. Ron lives in Huntington Beach with his wife and two teenage boys.
Jeff Abraham, Chief Executive Officer
Jeff Abraham is the CEO of Absorption Pharmaceuticals, responsible for the company’s strategic direction and operations. Jeff is a graduate of Edinboro University. Upon graduating, he began a successful career in sales in the semiconductor technology industry. His entrepreneurial spirit allowed him to see a void and in 1988 he founded Technical Resources, a semiconductor technology search firm, to better suit the staffing needs of the industry. His initial one-man company grew to 9 full time recruiters and researchers and 200 engineers working at various fabs around the world within 10 years. More recently Jeff has become involved with angel investing and managing a number of innovative companies, including companies specializing in diabetes care, contract manufacturing, and crop yield utilization. Jeff is a long standing, active contributor to the Big Brothers organization in Orange county as well as a member of and regular contributor to the local center for social resources, helping secure residency for the underprivileged in Orange County.
May Lee, Vice President of Media & Marketing
May Lee is the V.P. of Media and Marketing for Absorption Pharmaceuticals. Her career in the media industry spans more than 20 years having worked as a broadcast journalist/host based in the US and internationally.She is the founder and CEO of Lotus Media House Pte. Ltd., a company that launched “The May Lee Show”, the first pan-Asia talk show for today’s modern woman. She currently has a talk radio show and is broadening her media presence by developing projects for multi-media platforms.May is also author of the book, “May Lee, Live and in Person. It all begins with Passion” published by John Wiley & Sons. Before starting her own media business, May was the primary anchor for CNBC Asia in Singapore. She also worked for Oxygen Media, founded by Oprah Winfrey, where she hosted a daily talk show and a monthly, adventure travel show. From 1997 to 1999, May was the primary anchor for CNN International out of Hong Kong. Prior to that, May was the correspondent for CNN in Tokyo. May lives in the Los Angeles area, but regularly makes use of her passport to take part in one of her favorite hobbies…traveling the world.
Harpreet Sheridan, Vice President of Sales
Harpreet Sheridan is the Vice President of Sales for Absorption Pharmaceuticals (AP). A graduate of CSU-Sacramento, Harpreet came to AP with an extensive, diverse background. Most recently, Harpreet had a long, distinguished career at GlaxoSmithKline, where she experienced the launching of new drugs such as Jalyn and Staxyn. Harpreet served as the Urology Executive Sales Specialist, working closely with Urologists in Orange County to provide solutions for their patients with Erectile Dysfunction and Enlarged Prostate. In her role at Absorption Pharmaceuticals, Harpreet will lead the effort to establish Promescent® as the preferred medical solution for premature ejaculation. Harpreet is an active member of the Society of Sexual Medicine North America. She is also a committee member of Beachwood Foundation, organizing a 5K each year to help raise funds for the local elementary school. These funds help provide music, science and technology programs that would have otherwise been dissolved by the recent budget cuts. Harpreet lives in Orange County with her husband and two children.
