Jeff Abraham, Chief Executive Officer

Jeff Abraham is the CEO of Absorption Pharmaceuticals, responsible for the company's strategic direction and operations. Jeff is a graduate of Edinboro University in Pennsylvania. Upon graduating, he began a successful career in sales in the semiconductor technology industry. His entrepreneurial spirit allowed him to see a void and in 1988 he founded Technical Resources, a semiconductor technology search firm, to better suit the staffing needs of the industry. His initial one-man company grew to 9 full time recruiters and researchers and 200 engineers working at various fabrication plants around the world within 10 years. More recently Jeff has become involved with angel investing and managing a number of innovative companies, including companies specializing in diabetes care, contract manufacturing, and crop yield utilization. Jeff is a long standing, active contributor to the Big Brothers organization in Orange County as well as a member of and regular contributor to the local center for social resources, helping secure residency for the underprivileged in Orange County.


 

Lawrence A. Levine M.D., Chief Medical Officer

Laurence A. Levine, MD, is professor in the Department of Urology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He is also in group practice with Uropartners, LLC in Chicago.

Dr. Levine received his medical degree from the University of Colorado Medical School in Denver. He completed an internship and junior residency in general surgery at Tufts-New England Medical Center, served as chief resident at the American Hospital of Paris in France, and completed his residency in urology, Harvard Program, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. 

Dr. Levine is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology. He also served as a member of the AUA Guidelines Panel for the treatment of ED and on the Peyronie's Disease Committee at the World Health Organization First and Second Consultations on Erectile Dysfunction in Paris in 1999 and 2003. Dr. Levine also served as co-chairman of the Peyronie's Committee for the International Consultation on Sexual Medicine in 2009.  He is a past-president of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America and of the Chicago Urological Society. Notably Dr. Levine has been elected to Best Doctors in America for over the past 15 years.


 

Ronald Gilbert M.D.,  Founder & Chief Scientist

Ronald Gilbert M.D. F.A.C.S. earned his degree in Biology in 1983, graduating from University of California Santa Barbara with highest honors. Over the next 10 years, Ron completed his education at the University of California - Irvine, where he graduated from medical school in 1987 and completed his urological residency in 1993. While working for the past 18 years at Orange Coast Urology in Newport Beach, CA, Ron has served as the chief of the Department of Urology at Hoag Hospital and as an assistant clinical professor of urology at UCI Medical School. He has worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a lecturer and consultant for TAP Pharmaceuticals, Eli Lilly and Pfizer, educating urologists and primary care physicians about prostate cancer, interstitial cystitis and sexual dysfunction. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as a member of the American Urological Association. Ron lives in Huntington Beach with his wife and two teenage boys.


 

Gregory Kaminski,  Vice President - Marketing

Gregory Kaminski is the vice president of marketing. After engineering and marketing positions with GE and Applied Materials, Gregory sequentially co-founded two manufacturing software companies in silicon valley, both leading to successful acquisitions. In 1995, he began a career as a marketing consultant specializing in technology companies. More recently, Gregory has been a key contributor to Lipella Pharmaceuticals, a privately-held, development-stage biotechnology company with a focus on urology, gastroenterology, and ENT therapies. Gregory has a B.S. Engineering Science from Pennsylvania State University and  M.S. Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.


 

Brady Smith,  Director - Sales

Brady Smith serves as the director of sales for Absorption Pharmaceuticals. Brady brings over 15 years of sales and management experience in both the pharmaceutical and bio-tech industries. Most recently, Brady worked as an area sales manager for Slate Pharmaceuticals, managing the Southern California and Las Vegas markets. Prior to Slate, Brady held numerous sales and sales management positions with Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and spent time in both national and regional offices in executive management roles. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Westminster College with a degree in Biology and Chemistry, Brady is also the founder and former CEO of a generic medication dispensing company that provided ancillary services for physician offices.

 

 


Kurz

Allan Kurz,   National Sales Director

Allan Kurz serves as the national sales director for Absorption Pharmaceuticals.  Allan brings 13 years of healthcare experience to the organization.  Most recently, Allan served as the central regional sales director for Slate Pharmaceutics, where he led his Midwest sales team through the launch of a buy and bill product.  Prior to Slate, Allan spent time with Wyeth and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals where he implemented strategic product launches, sales processes for multiple physician specialties, and associated personnel hiring and development.  He graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in business, specializing in marketing. 

 

 


Frank Cortazzo

Frank Cortazzo,  Director - Eastern Regional Sales

Frank Cortazzo is the director of eastern regional sales for Absorption Pharmaceuticals. Frank brings 12 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, and finance experience to AP.   His most recent role was area sales manager of Southern and Central California for Slate Pharmaceuticals. Prior to Slate, Frank successfully managed sales territories in the two largest U.S. markets, New York and Los Angeles, launching the blockbuster medications Lunesta, Alvesco, Omnaris, Brovana, and Xopenex for Sunovion/Sepracor. A graduate of Salisbury University in Maryland, Frank attained a B.A. in Communications and a Minor in Business Management.  Frank currently resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife Cara.
