Mistakes to Avoid When Using Promescent

Did you know Promescent is the only clinically proven delay spray in North America? In a clinical study published in the International Journal of Impotence Research, almost three-quarters of participants reported that using Promescent positively impacted their sexual experience!

But Promescent can only provide mind-blowing results when you apply and use it correctly! It may take some experimentation to find the right dosage, so don’t be discouraged if you don’t achieve the desired results the first time!

Take our short quiz to find the right dosage specific to your needs.

So with your pleasure (and your partner’s) in mind, here are the five most common mistakes Promescent users make — and, more importantly, how to avoid them.

Using Too Little Promescent

Based on our research and testing, we recommend men try at least three sprays of Promescent when they first use it. We’ve found it’s enough to be effective and help you find a baseline. Each guy’s sensitivity levels are different, so we’ve developed a short quiz (just three questions!) to help you find the best starting point for you.

Part of the fun is trying again after your first time to figure out exactly where your Promescent “moan zone” is — you know, that sweet spot where you know you’ve used enough because you and your partner are in sync and having the time of your lives without worrying about finishing too soon.

…and Using Too Much

You can use up to 10 sprays of Promescent per session, but if you use more than your body really needs, you’ll risk desensitizing your penis to the point of not enjoying yourself during intercourse. And we don’t want that. If this happens you will regain normal sensitivity as soon as Promescent wears off, usually within 1 hour.

So start small — you can always work your way up.

Not Focusing on Your Application

Promescent uses patented TargetZone™ technology to ensure the product stays where it’s applied for maximum effectiveness. So you should spray only the uber-sensitive areas that you want to desensitize:

Each spray of Promescent dispenses 10 milligrams of lidocaine. Hold the nozzle close to the area listed above and press firmly and fully on the sprayer mechanism.

Just like you should limit your spray to right where you’d like the desensitization to occur, stay focused as you rub Promescent in, too. Rub it in small circles within the desired area.

Not Waiting to Get Busy

Promescent has to be fully absorbed for it to work properly (and trust us, you want it to work properly).

Not waiting a full 10–15 minutes for Promescent to absorb not only means a less effective product and less positive experience; it could also mean transferring some of the product to your partner. If there’s any chance you might engage in oral sex, consider giving the area “down there” a wipe-down with a damp cloth after it’s finished absorbing (about 10–15 minutes) as a courtesy to your partner.

While Promescent is absorbing, why not take that time to focus on your partner in other ways? Foreplay is highly underrated!

Not Enjoying Yourself

It’s easy to get caught up in your anxieties about premature ejaculation, pleasing your partner, and everything else going on in your life… But with Promescent, you can cross “finishing too quickly” off the list of things to fret about during sex.

So enjoy the ride. Looking for a few more tips and tricks? Drop us a note — we’re here for you!
